Meet our Role Models:

ROLE MODEL: Joseph Taiano

An innovative and creative leader with more than 25 years of experience in B2B marketing, Joseph Taiano has spent his career leading marketing strategies aimed at Fortune 500 brands in diverse industries such as Retail, Consumer Goods, Travel, Financial Services, and more.

His unique background combines business acumen with a strategic marketing mindset, giving him the ability to understand key drivers of revenue growth and how marketing can be an enabler of it.

Joseph is currently the CMO of Accenture Song, the tech-powered creative group that is part of Accenture. In this role he helped launch the Accenture Song brand and combined nearly 40 agencies under its banner.

Raised in New York City and starting his career as a CPA at Deloitte, he learned how businesses were run by working with some of the world’s most prestigious private equity firms. In the year 2000, he took that business foundation and entered the world of B2B marketing.

He joined Accenture in 2004 where he has held a variety of leadership roles and has been the global CMO for several multi-billion dollar industries, predominantly focusing on the consumer.

Having led global industry teams, regional geographic teams, and creative agency marketers, he has a passion for simplifying the complex and making global programs regionally relevant to drive sales.

He was instrumental in leading the account-based marketing model for Accenture. His creativity is expressed through storytelling and content development. He has been an author and key contributor to countless research and thought leadership programs.

Joe is a vocal advocate for inclusion and diversity in the workplace. He has led multiple programs for Accenture’s Pride employee resource group and is a frequent speaker on the topic. He resides in New York City.

ROLE MODEL: Fabrice Houdart

Fabrice is the Executive Director of the Association of LGBTQ+ Corporate Directors. He also consults with Fortune 500 companies on LGBTQ+ issues and teaches at Georgetown University a class titled “Queering International Development”.

Fabrice previously worked for the UN/World Bank system for 19 years. Among other roles, he served as a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations in New York from 2016-2020. He co-authored and led the UN Global LGBTQ+ standards of conduct for business, the largest corporate social responsibility initiative on LGBTQ+ issues in the world.

Fabrice volunteers on several non-profit Boards, including Outright Action International, Housing Works, the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, and Open for Business. He lives in New York with his twin sons Eitan and Maxime.
